Welcome to our second Queer Book Club!
Are you a fan of reading and books or would like to explore more about queer literature? Then the Queer Book Club is perfect for you! 📚 In the Queer Book Club, we will be picking one book each month to read and then discuss. With this event, we are aiming to bring queer people together to explore the variety of queer literature and how we can be represented in media.
This session will be on Saturday July 9th at 14:00 and this month we will be reading The House in the Cerulean Sea, by TJ Klune. First we share thoughts, discuss the book we read, and enjoy each other's company. At the end of the meeting we will pick the book for the next meeting! If you want to join this event but you cannot afford to buy the book, let us know. We are always willing to help out if that means you will be able to join us. We will have one copy at The Hole also.
The event will be led by Aden (they/them) who will be co-hosting with Lo (she/her). Aden is a full time bookworm and can’t wait to share their favourite books with new people and discover new favourites along the way. You can approach them anytime to rant about a book or give/recieve a book recommendation. Their current favourite queer books are Last Night At The Telegraph Club by Malinda Lo and Gearbreakers by Zoe Hana Mikuta. Lo is an enthusiastic reader who loves discussing books from top to bottom, can theorise for hours if you let her and above all loves gezelligheid!
We are so excited to see you there!
