For International Lesbian Day, we're creating our own little collection of letters that were never sent. Because we know that lesbian yearning and longing are part of our culture. And what could match it more than a beautifully decorated, handwritten letter? We will also sip and spill the tea.
What is this about? Write a letter to the girl you never told. Your first crush. Your ex. The situationship that never became a relationship. Someone you loved years ago. Someone you still think about. Or maybe even a letter to your younger self, your future love, or the lesbian community you wish you had now or growing up.
Inspired by the Unsent Project, this is a space to put into words the things that stayed in your head and maybe share it between us, BUT you don't have to share your letter with anyone. You can keep it, leave it anonymously in our collection, or simply write it and let it exist outside your head for a little while. We'll have paper, envelopes, pens, stickers and other crafty bits to make your letter as dramatic, romantic or basic - as you want. Come write something you never sent, something you wish you had said, or something you absolutely don't intend to send.
