The Bookclub is back! After the success of last year and a well deserved rest period, we want to bring back the bookclub.

Books for Queervolution is not the usual book club but a collaborative one. A gathering to discuss about queer topics, following the words written by queer people for queer people. There is not just one book assigned. Every participant is invited to choose a book, an article, a zine or any text that they read and they find fitting to the topic.

Topic of this month will be: Queers around the globe! 🌍

The focus will be on non-US/Europe books and texts. We want to break the narrative for which queerness is something “new” and that lives only in modern US/Europe society. From native american to african and asian authors. It is not just about geography: your challenge is to find authors that speak outside of the “western”/colonizer mainstream queer culture.

Everyone will have the opportunity to present what they brought (giving some quotes from the text and explaining what they find interesting about it) and it will be discussed together, combining different points of view and different sources in order to enrich our collective knowledge.

There will be space for both fiction and non fiction. Bringing a book is not mandatory but strongly encouraged.
